"Wise in years. Young in spirit." These few words help describe Carmella Crispo DellaPietra, widow of Joseph DellaPietra of East Rochester, as she celebrated her 100th birthday on December 21, 2013.  As she celebrated becoming a centenarian, Carmella was abundantly showered with cards and good wishes from family, friends and a multitude of acquaintances. Her immediate family gathered from far and near for a special family dinner. We extend our prayers and good wishes for Carmella's continued health and happiness. And, may she continue to bring joy to all those who have the privilege of knowing her.

A mini DellaPietra reunion was held in early September when T.J. DellaPietra, son of Connie DellaPietra of Virginia and Tony DellaPietra of Florida , visited New York State from Tokyo, Japan.  T.J., his wife Sayaka and sons Nico and Teo spent a week at Canadaigua Lake enjoying the area and visits by his mother, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. For many in the extended family, it was the first introduction to the children now aged 5 and 3 years old. The gathering was enjoyed by all and it is hoped that a repeat reunion will happen in the very near future.
